A Pair of Limed Oak Coronation Stools branded on bottom "G.R. VI" with a crown rectangular upholstered seats lambs tongue chamfered square legs with canted foot height 18 1/2 in. width 18 1/4 in. depth 12 in. Note: B. North & Son of West Wycombe provided much of the seating furniture for the May 12 1937 coronation of George VI. A chair related to the stools seen here was used at the coronation by Queen Mary from the Collection of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret which sold at Christie's London lot 213 on June 14 2006.
