ADOLF DIETRICH CHILDREN ILLUSTRATIVE DRAWING Switzerland,1877-1957Depicts two young boys at a table beside two older boys with an open book laid before them while one figure stares at a document. Dietrich is a widely self taught artist using his home life and nature as subjects for his work. He managed to gain some recognition through illustration work for the "Bodensee Book," however he was discovered by Herbert Tannenbaum, a well known art dealer, and held his first solo exhibition in 1922.
