10 ASSEMBLED ENGLISH COBALT PORCELAIN ITEMS1st - 3rd items: Set of three Derby topographical cabinet plates with hand-painted floral vignettes and landscape scenes. The plates have serpentine rims with a wide cobalt border, stepped up with gilded sprigs and interrupted by botanical vignettes. Each plate has a large individual hand-painted landscape medallion. 9 1/4" dia. Late 18th/Early 19th century. 4th item: Coalport scalloped dessert dish having a deep cobalt ground and decorated with gilt florals and hand-painted botanical fan-shaped vignettes surrounding a center medallion. The dish is crested with bas-relief leaves and grapes. 1 1/2" H x 8" W. Early 19th century. 5th & 6th items: Matched pair of English Staffordshire New Stone sauce tureens with original covers and stands. Decorated in the Japanese taste with pomegranate finials and grapevine twisted handles. Impressed with marks and painted red numbers en verso. Tureen with cover: 6 ¾" H x 7" W. Stands: 9" dia. Early 19th century. 7th & 8th items: Pair of Coalport shell-shaped serving dishes having gilt cobalt borders framing a large concave surround featuring hand-painted floral and vine decoration and a center framed in cobalt with floral bouquets in the center. 9 1/2" H x 8 1/2" W. Circa 1820. 9th & 10th items: Pair of Coalport scalloped dessert dishes with deep cobalt grounds, decorated with gilt florals and botanical fan shaped vignettes surrounding a center medallion. 8 1/4" dia. Early 19th century.
Condition:
1st - 3rd items: All with minor wear to the inner gilded band on each plate from stacking, one with hairlines to the rim. Some light staining en verso. 4th item: Very good condition, light staining en verso. 5th & 6th items: One set in excellent condition. One set with a restore chip to the edges of the tureen and underplate. 7th & 8th items: Both very good condition. 9th & 10th items: Both very good condition, light wear to gilt rims, light staining to the back.

All items with maker's mark stamped to undersides. All items except shallow bowls and teacups with blind stamp impressed to undersides. 19th-24th items: Six (6) Royal Crown Derby items, including one (1) Traditional Imari hors d'oeuvres oval tray with scalloped edge, circa 1896; two (2) Traditional Imari saucers, circa 1916 and circa 1923; two (2) shaped dessert dishes with gilt scalloped edges, circa 1893; and one (1) shell shaped dish, circa 1886. All items with maker's mark stamped and blind stamp impressed to undersides. 25th-32nd items: Eight (8) Imari items, including six (6) ironstone dinner plates, impressed with "1" to undersides; one (1) Bloor Derby King's Pattern dinner plate, stamped with maker's mark to underside; and one (1) Spode teacup, stamped with maker's mark to underside. Late 19th/early 20th century. All items ranging in size from 2 1/2" H x 3 3/8" W x 2 7/8" D to 10" H x 12 7/8" W.
Condition:
All items with minute scattered wear to polychrome and parcel gilt decoration, including minor surface scratches. Royal Crown Derby King's Pattern dinner plates with minute craquelure to wells.

AMERICAN OR FRENCH PEWTER ICE CREAM MOLDS, FOR KING AND QUEEN OF SPAIN'S VISIT TO PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENT..AMERICAN OR FRENCH PEWTER ICE CREAM MOLDS, FOR KING AND QUEEN OF SPAIN'S VISIT TO PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, The 16 two-piece hinged assortment of fruit pewter ice cream or sorbet molds includes 6 pears, a strawberry, cantaloupe, grapes, pineapple, lemon, set of apples, and other fruits. Chef Mesnier most famously used the pear molds to shape sorbet into pears that he carefully placed in golden sugar blown baskets. The basket of pears sorbet was specifically created for the State Dinner that welcomed King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain to the White House in 1981. The dessert dish for that occasion was formally titled "Fantasia of Pear Sorbet in a Basket." The molds are marked V. CLAD & SONS, BREVETE, etc. The largest item is the cantaloupe, 5 x 9 in. (16) - Provenance: Private collection of Former White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier. First Lady Rosalynn Carter hired Mesnier, who served 26 years under five presidents: Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. According to Creating the Sweet World of White House Desserts: A Pastry Chef's Secrets, Mesnier created stunning desserts for more than 40 queens, kings, princes, princesses and heads of state.
