(BINDING) DICKENS CHARLES. "LITTLE DORRIT" London Bradbury & Evans 1857. First edition in book form 8VO first issue. 40 engraved illustrations by H.K. Browne (Phiz) including the frontis and vignette title pages. Red morocco by Riviere. Gilt lion on front board and heavily gilt spine. Front doublure is a calf panel with a watercolor of the plate at page 257. "Mr. Flintwick has a mild attack of irritability" rear doublure in red satin. Both surrounded by heavy gilt design.
