OTTO LEIDNER, ART DECO GILT METAL REPOUSSE GONG Otto Leidner (German, XX) designed Art Deco gilded metal repousse dinner gong in the Chinoiserie taste, circa 1920s, in the form of a round gong centering an imperial dragon in a Mandarin hat, suspended from a Mandarin hatted serpent support above a pagoda roof base, sold together with a handmade book with the original sketches by Leidner for the offered lot ("Cong 3") as well as numerous gouaches for gong and lighting models in the Chinese taste, bound together in a green fabric bound book mounted with a repousse Mandarin masque and the title "Otto Leidner / Kaiserslautern / Ziseleur / Werkstatte." 15" H (overall); book: 11" H x 6.75" W.

Brass stag dinner gong, finely articulated stag's head holding bit supporting circular gong, mounted on oak and brass oval plaque with mallet-form striker, back of plaque with impressed mark "W.T & S", late 19th century, 22 x 12 x 7 in. Brass with some polish residue and light corrosion, gong with several dents at edges and polishing wear, striker possibly associated and with break and repair to handle.
