P.V.'' and the handle hasan inset cartouche stamped ''Zouaves D' Afrique''. With red leather sheath. 9 1/2''l. overall. The 114th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment was also known as the Company Zouaves d'Afrique or Collis' Zouaves after their captain Charles T. Collis. Zouave stamps may be later addition.
