Donegal at stormy seas, superbly presented with hand embossed and colored decorative matting, titled H.M.S. Donegal 1869 and framed in an antique birsdeye maple frame. Oval image 14.5” x 19.5”, Overall in frame 25.5” x 32.5”. ** She was then commanded by Captain William Hewett, seconded by John Fisher. In 1870 she became a tender to HMS Duke of Wellington, which was then a receiving ship in Portsmouth. Donegal was paid off on 30 September 1870.**Wikipedia
