A Large Hand Painted Dresden
A Large Hand Painted Dresden Covered Vase The tall porcelain vase with cover measures apprx. 21"H to the top of the finial apprx. 10"D at the shoulder marked with the cobalt blue "AR" on the underside. The decorations are divided into four sections separated by ornately scrolling gilt patterns. Two of the sections feature a large bouquet of multicolor flowers on a shaded puce ground. One of the other sections depicts a Dutch battle scene and the opposite side depicts a celebration in an encampment. The lid is similarly decorated with flowers and horsemen.
