Attr. Jean Dubois (French, 1625-1694) Head of a cherub; a fragment in terra cotta from a larger work by the Baroque artist, mounted on a small 2-1/4"H marble base, approx. 4-1/4"H overall. There are hand-written labels on the base, one on the back with "Jean Dubois ne a Dijon...1626-1694) and the other on the underside at the time the piece was gifted in 1924. Purchased in 1990 from Jacques Fischer-Chantal Kiener Gallerie.
