A Framed Silhouette of The Duke of York Overall the grain painted frame measures apprx. 9-1/4" x 8" and has a old gilt liner used as a spacer between the glass and the paper the sight size apprx. 5-1/2" x 3-5/8". The silhouette is cut out with a black backing and a hand written note below reading "His late Royal Highness The Duke of York". On the back of the framing is a hand written note reading "Born 16th August 1763. Colonel of the Second Regiment of Foot Guards a General in the Army. Commanding the British Forces on the Continent. Married September 1791 Princess Frederica Daughter of his Prussian Majesty and remarried again in London in the Queen's House 23 November the same year and next day introduced at the Drawing room in form at St. James's."
