Cornelius Durham miniature (Cornelius Beavis Durham, British, active 1825-1865), portrait of a gentleman in red velvet vest and black jacket, signed lower left "C. Durham" and verso in pencil "Cornelius Durham '91 Regent St. 1845", watercolor on ivory, 3-3/4 x 3 in.; original leather travel case with gilt metal spandrel. Ivory warped, splits from bottom through center, water damage at hair right through background, fingerprint left, abrasions in hair, grime. Estate of the Late Wyatt W. Childs, Barnesville, Georgia.
