Signed "Nierman" in pencil to lower right with "AP" in pencil to lower left. A leader in modern Mexican art, Leonardo Nierman creates paintings of abstract landscapes that are highly colorful and full of motion and velocity as though propelled by music. He also has had a wide following in the United States. In 1972, he had a major exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City and from that time has had exhibition venues throughout the world including the United States, Italy, Israel, Australia, Spain and Japan. He was born in Mexico City and earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of Mexico in Mexico City in 1951.

Housed in the original lemon gold molded frame, OS: 36 1/2" x 31", SS: 28 1/2" x 23". A few small flakes in the background, otherwise very good, untouched condition.
