White Pottery Ewer Neolithic Period Chinese Neolithic 3rd-2nd millennium BC a very thinly potted ewer the compressed globular vessel standing on three pointed hollow legs below a ''pie-crust'' band around the widest section rising to a tall funnel neck pinched in the middle to create an elegantly tapered spout and circular mouth with everted collared rim set opposite the handle twisted with a diagonal groove; ht. 10 in. (25 cm.)The results of Oxford thermoluminescence test no. C97j83 is consistent with the dating of this lot.
