LEONARDO NIERMAN "ECLIPSE" ARTIST PROOF LITHOGRAPHLeonardo Nierman (New York/Mexico, B. 1932) artist proof lithograph entitled "Eclipse", matted & framed under glass in gold frame & measuring 41" in height with width of 48" & having sight image height of 26-1/4" & width of 34-1/4". Signed "Nierman" in pencil to lower right with "AP" in pencil to lower left. A leader in modern Mexican art, Leonardo Nierman creates paintings of abstract landscapes that are highly colorful and full of motion and velocity as though propelled by music. He also has had a wide following in the United States. In 1972, he had a major exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City and from that time has had exhibition venues throughout the world including the United States, Italy, Israel, Australia, Spain and Japan. He was born in Mexico City and earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of Mexico in Mexico City in 1951.
