This Victorian centerpiece has a silver plated figural base designed as a winged cherub angel holding a torch with both hands, and a hand painted green & light blue glass bowl with a ruffled rim. It is further embellished with hand painted floral decorations and gold gilt accents. With "E.G. Webster Quadruple Plate" engraved inscriptions on the bottom. Elizur G. While navigating up the James River to Fort Morgan in July of 1862 the Daniel Webster was fired upon by Confederate forces. There were no injuries.
