JAMES EARLE FRASER SIGNED LITHO "END OF THE TRAIL"A James Earle Fraser (1876-1953) chromolithograph of a mourning Native American on horseback at sunset, produced by Reinthal?& Newman NY (1906-1928). Pencil-signed "Fraser" in the lower right margin, and titled in pencil "End of Trail" in the lower left margin. Image size is 9 x 12 inches, in a frame measuring 13.5 x 16.5 inches. Fraser was a noted artist with images of the American West. His works were shown in exhibitions including the 1898 Paris Salon, the 1913 New York Armory Show, and the 1915 San Francisco Panama-Pacific Exposition. His commissions included a 1908 bust of Theodore Roosevelt, and the design of the Buffalo Head nickel, but it is?"End of the Trail" that remains perhaps Fraser's best known image.
Condition
Not observed out of frame. There appears to be mild overall toning.

ROMAN HOLY LAND GLASS SPRINKLER VESSELRoman, Holy Land, Imperial Period, ca. 1st century CE. A stunning pattern molded glass sprinkler vessel comprised of pale blue-green glass with nice areas of translucence, its form presenting a bulbous body decorated with a swirled pattern, a tubular neck, a tooled funnel mouth with a constricted opening inside for sprinkling, and twin trailed handles joining rim to shoulder. The surface presents gorgeous silvery and rainbow iridescence. Size: 3.25" W x 3.5" H (8.3 cm x 8.9 cm)
Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection; ex-Elinor Katz collection, purchased in the 1970s from Barakat Antiquities, Jerusalem

Condition:
Fissure to the rim with minute loss to upper end of trail handle, otherwise intact and excellent. No pontil mark as this piece was mold-blown. Nice pattern molded decoration. Surface deposits as shown. Gorgeous rainbow and silvery iridescence.
