SILVERPLATE. EPERGNE AGINCOURT (1844 SHIP). An ornate silver epergne that was presented to Captain Neatby by the passengers of the Agincourt (1844 ship). The Agincourt is noted for being a prisoner transport ship however it also served as a transport ship for immigrants to Australia. Engraved with the following "Presented/ to /Captain Neatby/ by the/ Cabin Passengers of the/ Ship Agincourt/ from Sydney to London/ May 1848." From a White Plains, NY estate. Dimensions: 17 1/2" in height X 22" in width. Condition: Good, with light surface scratches, minor dings/dents, and losses to silverplate. One sconce has become detached. Glass bowl is not original and exhibits flee bites and a crack.

George III English silver epergne with (4) arms and a central footed body decorated throughout with foliate form swags, leaf borders, and set atop (4) paw feet accented by splayed leaves. Central acorn finial. With cut crystal bowls set atop each arm and a larger oval form cut crystal bowl centrally located. London, maker's mark most surely representing William Pitts, date letter of 1799, and a duty mark of George III (1786-1821). Total approx. weight of epergne is 56.14 troy oz (gross) excluding cut crystal bowls. From a Long Island, NY estate. Dimensions: epergne measures approx. 24" w x 22" d x 10.75" h including glass inserts. Condition: Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. Some fleabites, edge chips, and abrasions to cut crystal surrounds. The openwork surround of one arm needs to be resoldered - (2) breaks.

AN UNUSUAL ANTIQUE ELECTRIFIED 10 VASE EPERGNE. The brass frame in a nautical design, with shells and coral branches, supporting 10 individual small cranberry and frosted glass vases, each small vase 5.75" tall and 2.75" wide. With 4 electric bulb sockets for illumination. The overall height 9.25" x 20" wide x 14" deep. One frosted glass vase missing. Not tested for electrical function. Frosted glass vases apparently unsigned but superior quality, perhaps of French origin (?). From a Great Neck, Long Island, NY estate. Condition: All of the small red and white vases appear to be in excellent condition. A few small interior rim chips (not visible) on the light bulb covers.
