American Rococo Revival Rosewood Etagere, third quarter 19th century, in two parts, the upper section with a pierced foliate- and scroll-caved crest over a serpentine shelf supported by shell- and foliate-carved "X"-form brackets, the back panel fitted with a looking glass, the base with a serpentine "Brocatelle d'Espagne" marble top, the conforming case with serpentine returns, the face with a pair of cupboard doors, each with an arched mirror plate and applied foliate carving, the scalloped apron centered by a carved shell, h. 68-1/2", w. 47", d. 20". By oral tradition, this cabinet was sold by the New Orleans store of Henry Siebrecht.
