In a frame 21 3/4''h. 29''w. Known for his paintings of the New England coast Winter also traveled to the Virgin Islands. His works are in the collections of several art museums including The Toledo Museum of Art and the High Museum of Art.

The Ministry of Finance commissioned the artist Peet Aren to design a pack of cards for them. He did designs for Estonian bank notes and stamps. The soldier of hearts is a self-portrait of the artist. Only four full decks were printed due to the lack of quality paper that in turn led to poor printing. “DWGBE” printed on the AS. The courts are designed in Art Deco style. Scarce.
