Provenance: Collection of James A. Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation.
This painting is the original painting which was published on the Republic of the Marshall Islands 33c F-5E Tiger II stamp issued June 1, 1999.
To meet the U.S. military's need for a lightweight, inexpensive fighter that could be easily maintained and still be capable of supersonic flight, Northrop developed the F-5E Tiger II.
