ABDUL ALMELKAR MODERN INDIAN FARMER PAINTING India1920-1982Depicts a gentleman in bright polychromatic clothing surrounded by goats. Almelkar attended the Sir J. J. School of Arts in Mumbai, winning several awards during his time as a student. Almelkar exhibited throughout India and received a gold medal from the Bombay Art Society in 1953-54.
