Vernacular American Federal Walnut Dining Table in the Hepplewhite Taste, first quarter 19th century, in three parts, the demi-lune ends with scalloped aprons, the center section with a pair of deep single-board drop leaves, supported by fly legs with a single chamfered edge, h. 28", w. 48", l. 74", extended l. 110". Provenance: Formerly in the collection at Mistletoe, Natchez, Mississippi.

Virginia Federal drop leaf table,
Virginia Federal drop leaf table, mahogany with pine secondary, two shaped drop leaves over dovetailed drawer, turned legs and feet, probably Virginia, 19th century, 28-1/4 x 21-1/2 x 35-1/2 in., opens to 48 in. Refinished, leaf supports replaced, scattered abrasions including two deep abrasions on one leaf, other minor flaws. By tradition, the table was a wedding present to Judge and Mrs. Walton Brown in Danville, Virginia. Judge Brown died and Mrs. Brown remarried Shelby Ochs. Given to the mother of the consignor when the Ochs moved from Virginia.
