CIVIL WAR ERA DRUM SHELL AND LATER FIFE The drum by an unknown maker, the rims left their natural color while the shell is stained red and has an incised floral design around the side holes (overall wear and scuffs, but solid and a good candidate for restoration); the fife a Crosby model by George Cloos, probably early 20th century, ebony with german silver ferrules (17 in.) (a few marks and owner's initials, else very good condition).

The Royal Scots having been the oldest infantry regiment of the British Army. 2) 1st Battalion The Royal Fusiliers replica drum with the badge emblazoned front & center flanked by battle honors. Each measures approx. 15'' h x 15'' w.
CONDITION: Light paint loss. Oxidation to brass. Wear to drum skins and tension ropes commensurate with age. Fusiliers drum has faux drum skins and faux leather adjustment tabs at the tension ropes.

Emblazoned with Black Watch badge at front center flanked by battle honors. Impressed ''George Potter & Co. Makers Aldershot'' at brass. 2) Royal Dublin Fusiliers drum. The Royal Dublin Fusiliers created in 1881 and disbanded in 1922. With their badge at front center within clover wreath and battle honors banner. Indecipherable maker's mark impressed at brass topped by small crown. Both measure approx. 15.25'' h x 14.75'' w.
CONDITION: Black Watch drum body has large indent at painted side. Oxidation to exposed brass. Wear to drum skins.
