MEISSEN PORCELAIN CHINOISERIE FIGURE OF A FISHERBOY AND A STANDING FIGURE OF A CHILDEach with blue crossed sword mark.
The standing figure 5 in. high, the seated figure 3 1/2 in. high.
Note: The standing figure model was conceived by Reinicke for the Hofkonditorei [court confectionary] of Count Heinrich von Brühl in 1743. The seated figure model follows Gabriel Huquier’s engraving ‘Chinois assis et Chinoise portant un poisson’ from the series ‘Scenes de la vie chinoise’ after Francois Boucher.
Condition
Each with minor wear and a few tiny losses. The fisherboy with minor losses to the hair. The standing figure with restoration to the hat. Otherwise in good condition.

F. VICHY SCULPTURED WHITE MARBLE 'FISHERBOY'Ferdinando Vichi, Italy (1875-1945). White marble statue of young boy with a fish, a net and a frog sitting by his feet. The figure is very detailed. He is standing on a round base which is signed on the side, and on a green marble columnar pedestal with stepped base and ribbed center. Statue measures 36"H x 14.5"W x 9.5"W base; green pedestal 31"H x 18"W base.
