A Japanese carved ivory ''Actor''
A Japanese carved ivory ''Actor'' trick netsuke along with a Chinese carved ivory figure of a fisherman with a dog. The trick (or Karakuri) netsuke is black highlighted signed on base and mounted to a gold tone loop. One side of the face shows a young woman's face and the other a ugly gnarled face. Condition: Chinese fisherman is slightly coming off stand tip of fishing rod has broken off fish needs to be re-strung see images. Trick netsuke measures 2.4'' tall and fisherman measures 6'' tall to tip of rod. Shipping weight .5 lb.

A colorful depiction of the smiling, barefoot fisherman thrusting his right hand into an open weave basket, where one can see the struggling fish underneath. His straw sun had hangs behind his head.
