Signed at base of figure, "82 / Gilhooly". Dimensions: 19"h. Gilhooly is known as one of the founders of the Bay Area Funk Movement. He began his career as an assistant to Robert Arneson at TB-9 at UC Davis. This group of sculptors were known for poking fun at traditional art and culture. Weisflog earned a M.S and a M.F.A from the University of Wisconsin. He taught all aspects of art at both his alma mater and schools in Indiana.
