North America, United States, ca. 1847 to 2010 CE. A truly exceptional 3-volume collection of United States stamps sure to impress even the most distinguished philatelist! The remarkable collection consists of hundreds of stamps organized in the 2007 edition of "American Heirloom Collection of United States Stamps" by Mystic Stamp Company, on pages set in 3 ring albums. The volume starts with the first congress authorized US postage stamps, cut from pregummed and nonperforated sheets: a Benjamin Franklin 5 cent stamp of 1847 and a George Washington 10 cent stamp of the same year, and the 1847 reproduction issue of George Washington. There are over 1000 pages of historical stamp history, ending with 2010 commemorative stamps. Highlights include 1851 to 1857 Imperforate Stamps, Franklin 1 cent blue Type II pair and Franklin 1 cent blue Type IV. Page C3 has the 1918 Airmail Curtiss Jenny Biplanes and C7 is a mint 1930 Graf Zeppelin Issue of the #C13 Zeppelin over the Atlantic. Size of album (all about the same): 11.5" L x 3.3" W x 11" H (29.2 cm x 8.4 cm x 27.9 cm)
The "American Heirloom Collection of United States Stamps" is specially designed to house and protect this precious collection. Each page is illustrated and labeled using Scott Catalogue numbers, and most have written facts or a history of the stamp, all held in a 3-ring binder that lies flat when reading and has plenty of room to accommodate additional notes or pages that can be acquired from the Mystic Stamps. Volume I includes pages 1 to 460, Volume II pages 461 to 886, and Volume III has pages 887 to 1243 with additional pages such as C1 to C45 and more that do not use Scott Catalogue numbering.
