Louis Icart (French 1888-1950) two etchings with aquatint 'Lilies' 1934 & 'Orchids' 1937 H.C.&I 468 and 466 signed in pencil 27.5 x 18.75in. Estimate ?600-800 Both prints with original paper that have not been laid down however both have suffered a degree of foxing Orchids particularly has a slight yellowish colour to the ground paper and a pronounced yellowish tone to the figure and her dress. A number of scattered fox marks throughout the work most predominantly in the border but also through the work itself. Margins are approx. 2 inches. Blind stamp numbered and signed in pencil in tatty white painted frames. Lilies have slightly less foxing but some discolouration showing notably on the right margin. Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear imperfections or the effects of aging. An Impressive Art Nouveau Luneville Vase The lily design vase glazed ceramic vase has a white petal upper rim and stem-like handle wrapping around the body and terminating in a large leaf. The body of this vase is accented with gilt outlined and hand-painted white blossoms and green leaves. Measures apprx 19" H x 13"W. Marked on verso "Luneville T.170". Verso also has a fragment of a sticker with partial wording in French. This was featured on the Luneville catalogue.
