French Single Comb Cylinder Music Boxcirca 1900 the mechanism under the glass lid also includes three bells and a tune selector for eight pieces of music; the case is painted black its lid inlaid with a book-matched veneer incorporating a string border the lid's underside retains a printed list of selections. 7.5 x 19.5 x 10.5 in.Paint chips along the edges; scuffs from use; one tooth on the comb is broken; the machine plays however would benefit from cleaning and adjustment.

Lacking three teeth and slightly out of register, hinges repaired, lacking one set of scissors and tweezers, wear to one foot.

Plays ten tunes and retains its original printed and handwritten music selection card. 6 1/2''h. 23''w. Plays but needs work. No pins or plucks missing or broken. Does not have key. Looks like an old stain in front (dark line). Inlay on front is partly faded (could be a replacement) and some is missing. Top board (lid) is cracked across entire length on inside but crack only shows 3'' on top of lid from right edge towards the center. Plays all 10 songs.
