Parker is a local Cleveland artist who has made a name as a musician, graphic artist (doing posters for venues such as the Euclid Tavern), and as painter. He has been included in many local gallery exhibitions including "Cleveland X: Artists From a Post Industrial City" (Spaces Gallery December 1993 - January 1994).

Note: Jan Parker graduated from the Willesden School of Art on London and began his career as a cartoonist for a newspaper in Copenhagen, Denmark in the early 1960s. His career received a boost when the American filmmaker Stanley Kubric invited him to to create drawings and paintings on the set of his famous movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Since 1985, Parker has lived in Hawaii and has had regular shows in the US, Europe and Asia.
