  Inlaid mahogany gaming table, removable tray top opening to an inlaid backgammon board, skirt set with two dovetailed gamepiece drawers, inlaid skirt and unusual fluted and tapered legs, mahogany, walnut(?), spruce (by micro-analysis) and other secondary woods, Virginia or possibly European, 1800-1820, 28 x 29-1/4 x 21-3/4 in., together with 30 ivory playing pieces, cups and die. Old refinishing, some warping and veneer cracks, minor face patches to top, one drawer with replaced bottom, cracks and repairs to legs at joint with skirt, other normal abrasions and wear. Found in Virginia; Deaccessioned from MESDA and Old Salem to benefit the Acquisition Fund.

Accompanied by four matching folding chairs each has pierced splatted backrests and seats - 30 in. x 28 1/2 in. square.
