Published by The Gebbie Publishing Co., Ltd. Philadelphia. Royal octavos, 12 volumes, bound in three quarters leather over marbled boards, gilt titles and tooling to the spine, raised gilt bands, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers, engraved frontispiece with tissue guard to each volume, illustrated with sixty etchings and wood cuts, maps and facsimiles.
Provenance: old private collection, Sewickley, PA, by descent in the family to the current owner.
