GEORGE TINWORTH (UK, 1843-1913) DOULTON LAMBETH VASE Beautifully Proportioned English Stoneware Vase, designed by English ceramicist George Tinworth at Doulton's Lambeth factory, dated 1878, decorated with seaweed and relief molded beading and rosettes, with flared rim, narrow neck and egg shaped body, set on a flared foot, Tinworth's incised monogram is on the body of the vase just above the foot (he was the only Lambeth employee allowed to do this), base with incised monogram of decorator Eliza L. Hubert (worked 1876-1883), base also stamped with the Doulton Lambeth circular mark and 1878 date and with affixed "The Harriman Judd Collection, Sotheby's" label, 12 1/4" high, 4 1/2" diam. Good condition.
