This teapot features a flush hinged lid with a with central elevated oval dome under a removable carved wood finial encompassed by a punch dot border, chased floral boarder to the body, chased draped swag encompassing the body, punched dot oval cartouche on both sides (1) containing a chased coat of arms the other a monogram executed in cursive, and a carved wooded handle. Stamped with a city mark of London, maker's mark of Henry Green, and a date letter of 1787.The total approx. weight of the tea pot is 13.76 troy oz (gross). From a Manhattan, NY estate. Dimensions: teapot measures approx. 5.50" in height. Condition: Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. Teapot bears an engraving verso, monogram, and a coat of arms.
