ORTGIES GERMAN POCKET PISTOL 6.35MMDeutsche Werke Ortgies pistol chambered in 6.35 mm (.25ACP). Barrel measures approx. 2 5/8". Serial # 52656. Right side of slide stamped "Ortgies Patent". Left side of slide stamped "Deutsche Werke (stylized "D" cat logo) Werk Erfurt". Crown oproof marks on the frame, barrel and slide. Vest pistol features hammerless design, wood grips with medallions and grip safety. One magazine included. Pistols were popular in Germany and made after WWI. Production ended in 1924. The target grips are for a small hand and the right panel has been cracked in half and poorly repaired. The left panel has been cracked and poorly repaired where it meets the rear of the frame.

DOUBLE BARRELED PISTOL, GOLD PLATED
DOUBLE BARRELED PISTOL, GOLD PLATED A gold-plated, double barreled, percussion-lock pistol evidently manufactured in Germany. While no exacty manufacturers mark can be found over the chambers of the two barrels is written in German "Ich wurde verfertiget auf Marienschlos Greb." Beyond the writing the octagon-to-round barrels are engraved with floral patterns down the rib between them as well as some scales engraved around the muzzles. The trigger guard and pommel are also gold-plated with a sunburst engraved onto the trigger guard. The wood furniture has fine wrap-around checkering on the grip as well as some spirals carved along the channel for the ramrod. The pistol is in overall alright condition with some wormholes throughout the wooden furniture, a large crack just behind the left lockplate, and heavy corrosion in both chambers. Only the left hammer engages with its sears while the right hammer pivots freely.
