ANTIQUE KPM PORCELAIN PLAQUE WITH GENRE PAINTINGA KPM (Germany) porcelain plaque, circa 1900, finely painted with a genre scene of a German man playing a dulcimer for two women and a dachshund, their timber home adorned with pots, pans, and hunting gear, composed in the style of Adolf Eberle. Signed to the bottom left by artist Kronller. Impressed to the reverse of the plaque is the KPM scepter mark, "315_255", and "H". In a wood and orange velvet frame, measuring 19 3/8" x 17 1/8". Plaque measures 10" x 7 3/8".
Condition
Scuff to the paint layer at the top of the plaque, in the roof's beams, otherwise very good condition. No in-painting was observed when viewed under blacklight.
