She lived on Park Avenue in Cranston, Rhode Island. A number of her paintings were exhibited in New York.

Mary Lizzie Macomber was a Pre-Raphaelite painter born in Fall River, Massachusetts. She was a student of Robert Spear Dunning before studying further at the school of Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Much of Macomber’s work was lost in a fire in her studio in 1903. Provenance: Vose Galleries Boston, Massachusetts.
