15 ASSORTED MASON'S IRONSTONE ITEMSCollection of assorted Mason's Ironstone including nine (9) ginger jars, two (2) cream pitchers, one (1) round covered jar, one (1) hexagonal covered jar, one (1) trumpet form vase and one (1) bulbous form vase. Patterns include Madarin, Mandalay, Belvedere, Brown Velvet, Brocade and Paynsley Patt. Sizes range from 4" to 8". Two items with fruit decoration 20th century, others 19th century.

Large cobalt blue ground ironstone vase or urn, decorated with Imari type chinoiserie decoration, the reserves with florals and landscape, and having applied gilded qilin handles. Impressed "Patent Ironstone China" mark to the underside. Approx. h. 17", dia. 12".

MASON'S IRONSTONE, IMARI PATTERN, 46 PCSLarge set of Mason's Imari pattern Ironstone china, including 13 dinner plates (10" dia); 20 dessert plates (9 1/8" dia); 9 soup plates (10" dia); 2 covered vegetable servers (5 3/4" H x 13" W x 9 1/8" D); 2 small platters (1" H x 10 3/4" W x 8 1/2" D). All pieces stamped "Mason's Patent Ironstone China" with crown on base. 46 items total. English, 1st quarter 19th century. Provenance: the estate of Bertha Cochran Wright, ex-Calumet Farm, Lexington, KY.
Condition:
Overall very good condition. Minor surface scratches. 5 dinner plates with rim chips, 3/8" to 5/8" W. 1 dinner plate with 1" chip to base. 5 dessert plates with rim chips, 1/4" to 1/2" W. 1 dessert plate also with 6 1/2" old staple repair. No visible damage to soup plates. Minor wear to gilt on both finials of vegetable servers. 1 server with repair to 1 handle. 1 platter with 5/8" rim chip.

ANTIQUE CHINESE STONEWARE POTTERY GINGER JARDESCRIPTION: An antique Chinese kitchen pottery ginger jar. This stoneware lidded piece is designed with a rounded shape and a small narrow neck. Finished with a wood lid with turquoise stone finial handle, the jar is further decorated with a darker blue calligraphy and lineal stroke and sits atop a carved wood base.
CIRCA: 19th Century.
ORIGIN: China.
