The corners of the tray are slightly elevated and pierced with a design the inkwell is held in place by an applied fitted brass square with crenelated sides. The glass inkwell has a hinged lid and rim in copper. Unmarked.

A Heavy Glass Inkwell with Brass Mounts and Boar Tusks The inkwell measures approx. 2-1/2" x 2-1/2", and is fitted with a grass collar and hinged lid with ball finial. It is set in a brass armature that features tow polished boar's tusks flanking the bottle and a pen holder at the front. Measures approx. 6-1/2"W x 5-1/2"D overall.
