Golcher: circa 1840, half stock percussion rifle, .55 cal, 41" bbl, "James Golcher" signed back-action percussion lock. A fine sporting rifle with "Ky influence", having half round half octagon bbl, with gold band at breech. Fine engraved mounts of German silver including patch-box and capox on the cheek side. Cheek piece inlayed with running stag. Minor wood damage, replaced r.rod thimbles, missing one bbl key escutcheon. Good working order, original ramrod, very good plus. Estimate $2,000-2,500

Kentucky/Pennsylvania Long Rifle Circa 1840' s Beautiful Tiger Maple stock Kentucky-Pennsylvania flintlock long rifle about 40 caliber.(Octagonal 37-1/4"L barrel 1"W octagon) with original repaired ram rod. The brass patch box cover is made from old brass rule. Appears to have been embellished with extra brass plates for old repairs. The steel lock is engraved with fern and sun motif; no signature but has concentric Z's on lock plate. Two steel or silver hearts inlaid near trigger.

Flintlock Kentucky Rifle .40 cal. 42'' barrel. Unmarked except lock marked Ketland D Adams. Brass furniture with daisy-style plain patchbox. Curly maple full stock. Condition: Barrel has nice smooth patina brown with some pitting around the touch hole and pan. Lock is sharp with nice untouched dark brown look. Brass furniture has been cleaned. Stock has an old crack through the front of triggerguard and pin that holds the triggerguard. A small piece of wood has been added on left side of barrel from the breech extending .5'' wide 4'' long down the barrel. Stock has a couple of old repairs.

Brass furniture and four-piece patch box featuring a liberty bell and dated 1776. Lockplate signed Buchele. Pierced pig-tail trigger. Rifle is housed in a well-constructed wood case. Condition: Excellent.
