Other Notes: History provided by institution Silver came from Alfred Hampton (1863-1942) youngest child of Wade Hampton III and Mary Singleton McDuffie Hampton to his daughter and then to his grand-daughter. Silver had never left their family. Some pieces may have belonged to his family in South Carolina.
