A Mettlach Tureen and Cover with Underplate The elegant tureen on pedestal, lid and underplate are decorated with matte glazes in gray, tan, taupe, and caramel colors. The tureen has geometric and foliate decorations, grapes on vines, and two figural handles. The underplate and lid have coordinating embellishments. Underside of the tureen and the plate are marked "Villeroy & Boch...Mettlach" within a green insignia, and impressed numbers "418", "87", and "16".

A Sevres Style Sauce Tureen The
A Sevres Style Sauce Tureen The petite gravy tureen has an attached liner plate notched lid with foliate finial shell shape handles at either end hand decorated in celeste blue with gilt accents with reserves containing multicolor floral sprays and one with a courting scene. Cobalt blue mark on the underside is similar to the "Double-Louis" crossed "L" mark. Apprx. 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" x 6"H.
