(UK/GERMANY/ITALY, 1733-1810) Portrait of a Young Bewigged English Gentleman in a Crimson Suit, oil on canvas, unsigned, ca 1780, with green gold trimmed vest and white stock, ruffled cuffs and stockings, jeweled buckles on his shoes. He is seated in a garden with his small dog at his feet, a pair of swans and an estate in the distance, housed in the original gold gesso frame, having an old (anglicized) name tag. OS: 36 1/2" x 31 1/2", SS: 29 1/2" x 24 1/2", cleaned and relined. Zoffany was a founding member in 1769 of the new Royal Academy of London. He found Royal patronage in King George III, but also was known for his portraits of actors.

Measures 1 7/8 incheslong, 1 1/2 incheswide, and 11.5 mm deep. Weighs 6.2 dwt. 3. Depicts a winged fairy and a winged angel dancing in the clouds. The oval bezel setting is sterling silver. It has asafety clasp and a bail to wear as a pendant. It is marked"925" on the pin.Measures 1 1/2 inchestall, 1 1/4 incheswide, and 7mm deep. Weighs 5.5 dwt. 4. Depicts a right-facing roman soldier cameo prong set with cannetille detail accents. The silver is gold washed. The reverse shows the mounting bars, a safety clasp, and a non-moving bail to wear as a pendant. The brooch is marked "800" on the back. Measures 1 3/4 inchestall, 1 3/8 incheswide, and 7.5mm deep. Weighs 6.8 dwt. 5.Hand carved oval cameo brooch depicting two women dancing with a winged cherub or Cupid. The setting is a gold filled tubular weave embellishment accented with beads and deep bezel setting. It has aC-clasp closure and isunmarked. Measures 2 3/4 inchestall, 2 1/4 incheswide, and 20mm deep. Weighs 17.0 dwt. 6. A left-facing woman's bust in a sterling silver filigree deep bezel setting. It hasa safety clasp andis unmarked. Measures 1 5/8 incheslong, 1 1/4 incheswide, and 12.25mm deep. Weighs 6.2 dwt. Condition There is some bending to a few of the stick posts. Overall good condition consistent with age.
• 14K FANCY DIAMOND HUNTING
  14K FANCY DIAMOND HUNTING ROCKFORD POCKET WATCH - AS ISA Rockford fancy pocket watch in a 14k tri-colored gold hunting case. The front of the case has a smooth shield decorated with rose colored scrolls and flowers and green colored leaves placed on a textured yellow gold background with a raised rim. The back of the case has flowers and a butterfly in rose and green gold on a textured yellow gold background. There is a diamond in the center of the middle flower. (Three of the flowers originally were set in the center with diamonds, however only one diamond is present.) The outside edge of the case is engraved in fine detail with scrolls and flowers. The dial of the pocket watch is white enamel with roman numeral hours and boxes for the minuets around the rim. It has steel blue batons and a seconds register at 6 o'clock. The crystal is missing. It has a 3/4 plate, jeweled lever movement by R.W.Co. Rockford Illinois movement No. 205512. Estimated production year 1885. Diamond Attributes: One old mine cut round diamond with .03 carat total weight and SI2 clarity. Setting Type: Bead set. Metal: 14k yellow gold with rose and green gold accents. Weight: 42.6 dwt. Measurements: Case is 43mm not including the stem. Markings: The dial is marked "Rockford", the movement is marked "R.W.Co. Rockford Ill. movement No. 205512, Patent Pinion"., The interior of the case is marked "L & S Warranted 14K, U.S. Assay, 27918". Condition The case is missing two diamonds. The dial is missing the crystal. The watch is not functioning and would need to be repaired in order to work. Cosmetically it is in good condition with mild scuffing and no cracking or crazing on the enamel dial.
