W.W. GREENER DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN 12 GAEngraved W.W. Greener 12 Gauge box lock double barrel side by side shotgun. Barrel is marked "W.W. GREENER. 68 HAYMARKET LONDON. WINNER AT THE LONDON GUN TRIALS. 1875, 1877, 1878 & 1879" on the smooth, concave rib." Underside is marked "NOT FOR B" and "Anson & Deeley's Patent 2067" on receiver. Barrels measure approx. 28", 43 1/2" overall, 13 3/4" LOP. Finish and stocks have age appropriate wear. Barrels have a brown patina with no dents. Action sticks. Triggers do not engage. Bores aran with some slight discoloration. Buttplate is chipped and missing pad. This item can be shipped in-house.

Appears to be a F-35 or 40; sleeved barrels with game rib; case-hardened Facile Princeps boxlock action heavily engraved with fine foliate scroll with floral details beaded fences hold open feature crossbolt side safety ejectors; finely checkered straight stock of figured walnut with 5/8'' horn extension vacant silver oval and finely-checkered forend with horn tip. choked: L-Improved/Modified R-Improved/Cylinder chambered: 2 1/2'' LOP: 14 1/4'' barrel: L28''overall: L44 1/2'' Other Notes: William Wellington Greener was the second of four sons born to William Greener gunmaker 1806-1869. In 1864 W.W. Greener patented and started to manufacture an under-lever pin-fire half-cocking breech loader and in 1869 he patented a self-acting striker and protection was sought for an over/under gun with laterally opening barrels. In 1890 he claimed that his factory which fronted on St. Mary's Row and had spread along Loveday Street to Bath Street was the largest in Britain and by 1923 the firm of W.W. Greener Ltd. was to claim that the factory was the largest sporting gun factory in the world. The business continues today under the propriortorship of his descendants. Good condition. Bluing 90% + minor mark on left barrel 4'' from muzzle some pitting under fore-end loose on face. *Parker Double-Barrel Shotgun DHE Grade Two Barrel Set 12 ga. 30'' barrels choked F/IM extra set of 30'' barrels choked IM/M S/N 227485. Blue barrels case colored receiver DT ejectors splinter fore ends checkered walnut stocks 1-1/2 frame LOP 13.75'' over solid rubber pad drop at comb = 2'' and drop at heel = 2.5''; barrels numbered 1 and 2 ivory beads and mid-beads. Condition: Excellent condition with mirror bores. This is a rarely encountered original two barrel set. It retains ca 60% original case colors and the wood rates excellent with only some minor dings and scratches. The number 1 barrels retain ca 85% original blue finish with most wear from thinning where the gun was carried. The number 2 barrels retain ca 98% original blue finish with a small spot of discoloration on the top of the right barrel. The lever remains right of center and the gun is tight on the face. This classic American double gun shows evidence of being gently used and well cared for.

*Parker G Grade Double-Barrel Shotgun 12 ga. 30'' Damascus barrels choked M/M S/N 68080. Number 1 frame DT splinter forearm extractors drop at comb 2.5'' drop at heel 3''. Condition: Very good condition with very good bores. There is some minor pitting in the barrels but it will probably polish out. The barrels show most of their Damascus pattern with a mixture of original blue brown patina and gun metal gray. The receiver has an added cold blue finish with good case colors on the water table and protected areas. The stocks rate very good to near excellent as refinished and the wood to metal fit is excellent.

DOUBLE BARRELED PISTOL, GOLD PLATED
DOUBLE BARRELED PISTOL, GOLD PLATED A gold-plated, double barreled, percussion-lock pistol evidently manufactured in Germany. While no exacty manufacturers mark can be found over the chambers of the two barrels is written in German "Ich wurde verfertiget auf Marienschlos Greb." Beyond the writing the octagon-to-round barrels are engraved with floral patterns down the rib between them as well as some scales engraved around the muzzles. The trigger guard and pommel are also gold-plated with a sunburst engraved onto the trigger guard. The wood furniture has fine wrap-around checkering on the grip as well as some spirals carved along the channel for the ramrod. The pistol is in overall alright condition with some wormholes throughout the wooden furniture, a large crack just behind the left lockplate, and heavy corrosion in both chambers. Only the left hammer engages with its sears while the right hammer pivots freely.
