Note: Gustave Pedersen (Danish 1895-1972) was a talented designer who started working for Georg Jensen's workshop as early as 1915 and continued there for another fifty years. His talents in silver hollowware designs were recognized rather early when in 1917 he was appointed head of the hollowware department. During his tenure there he was able to expand his designs into jewelry leading to some being made by the silversmith's workshop. He retired in 1965 from the company and passed in 1972 but his legacy continues in the beautiful silver items he designed such as this sterling centerpiece bowl offered in this auction.
