***FORTUNE TELLER DOLL. France 19th century paper and fabric. Velvet hat and dress. The form is comprised of dozens of folded slips of paper on each is written a fortune. At a party guests would pull out a piece of paper to find out their fortune. Mounted on a turned and painted base. 13''h. Ex David Good (Ohio). Her left arm is damaged at the joint and held together with a string. The base has two round holes and one of them appears to have a pin broken off in it. The hat has a few minor spots of loss on the back.
