Mahogany case height - 86.75 inches. The clock is in very good working condition with light wear throughout. It comes with the door and winding keys as well as a brochure.

A Winterhalder and Hoffmeier Mantel Clock A German oak mantel clock apprx. 15-1/2"H x 12"W x 8"D with architecular carved pilasters at either side plinth base carved foliate bas relief below the face and applied details above brass and silver metal face with roman numerals gilt spandrels blued steel hands hinged beveled glass door with brass surround hinged door behind with pierced metal grille and red velvet fabric. Each hour it strikes the number of hours on a single gong. The clock can be silenced by turning a small hand on the dial. Comes with pendulum and winding key.

Hutchins apprenticed under Simon Willard. 8-day time and strike brass movement with shaped plates and painted dial with moon phase subsidiary dial and seconds bit. Cherry "Roxbury" style case with arched filigree top, Brass finials and round columns, lower case with fan inlaid door, reeded corner columns with brass capitols, Star inlaid base and French feet. Refinished with some wear, crack in lower front panel. 93" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-3,000

Classically styled wall clock, arched pediment with classical figures in a globe above frieze with classical figures, dial with enameled numerals and openwork spandrels, openwork base with seated figure with cupid above masks and other brass ormolu mounts, with matching ornate brass pendulum and two weights, back with paper label "HG Bates & Co.", 46 x 18 x 9 in. Minor chips and wear to wood surfaces, clock numerals with light wear, minor corrosion to brass. Private Collection.
