A Carved Wood Whistler Clock The 14-1/2"H x 6-5/8"W x 2-5/8"D automaton is carved wood with polychrome painting. It depicts a man in a slouchy suit and top hat, whose head moves at the neck leaning on a post with a Swiss chalet clock. The clock winds with one end of the winding key and the whistler with the other. Clock ticks, but is not guaranteed to keep time. Whistler whistles. Stamped on the underside with a logo "KenD" in a diamond shape and "made in Germany".

18/19TH CENTURY GILT WOOD FUSEE
18/19TH CENTURY GILT WOOD FUSEE CALENDAR CLOCK, MOVEMENT MADE BY J. HAFIUS AMSTERDAM 14”tall x 8"deep x 12" wide Base of clock appears to be made of a soft wood like basswood. Carved in the form of a flowering bush, with wire for branches and detailed metal leaves. Five Porcelain flowers are randomly placed, as well as nest made from fine wire, with three birds made from real feathers as you would find on a automaton. Embossed brass ring is placed in the foilage above and slightly right of center. A Fusee movement made by J. Hafius Amsterdam, with white porcelain dial and Roman numerals for all chapters, with gold gilt skeleton decorative minute/hour hands, with calendar date window above six, each numeral for respective day is hand engraved on what appears to be a brass disc. Movement has pillars of the triangular shape, which can go back to 1650. Extra large pierced balance cock, as well as balance guard, additional decorated plates cover the top of the pillar plate, leaving a small plain area for makers signature. Trunk, leaves and mound of earth are gold gilt.
