Note: Hayley Lever was born in Adelaide, Australia and began his training there. He showed early talent and traveled to England to continue to develop his painting skills. He studied in London before settling in with an artist's colony in St. Ives, Cornwall in 1900. It was here that he developed his love and talent for atmospheric seacoast paintings. This work is from 1909 toward the end of his residence in St. Ives and before he moved to America in 1911.
Condition:
Framed under glass and not examined out of the frame. The surface appears dirty and a bit yellowed on the varnish, but there are no signs of damage to the paint.
