The glaze is shiny and bright. There are a few surface scratches on the interior and wear to the glaze.. The hairline or crack is approximately 2 to 2 1/2 inches long. There is also wear around the rim. It does need to be cleaned. The blue is darker in person than it is in the catalog one online.
